Salary: 80,000RMB - 125,000RMB per annum, depending on qualifications and experience
To start from: 1 August, 2008
To supervise: Secretary in Research Office
Job outline: To be in charge of the research project application and management
Qualifications: Master degree in Research, Business, Marketing or other relevant area, PhD degree holder will be preferred Extensive investigative and research skills Working experience in relevant area, preferably as team leader in Research Office in an English-Speaking University Strong communication skills in both English and Mandarin Proficiency in information acquisition methods, initiative in identifying new sources of information when necessary Ability to manage diversified assignments and projects Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately and with discretion.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Contributing to the strategic planning of research projects in the University
Facilitating the securing of research funds from within and outside of China
Providing information to members of the University on potential sources of research funds
Research contract administration (both pre and post award)
Liaison with the finance department on the financial management of research grants (both pre and post award)
Monitoring the expenditure of the University research funds
Providing advice on intellectual property management
Membership of the University Research Committee
Management of the University Research office
Liaison with the University of Nottingham UK research Services.
